Peaceful Retreat joins GC Records with New Concept Album Inspired by NASA’s Voyager Missions

Instrumental rock band Peaceful Retreat, who play a mix of ambient, cinematic groove rock music, is preparing to release a new full length album on GC Records that is rooted in one of humanity’s most ambitious journeys: the Voyager space missions.

Join GC Records and Bad Moon Booking as we kick off the DUSTLAND anniversary weekend festivities with an unforgettable show. The show will have no cover and will also feature labelmates The Rifleman and Go Bold.

Blending ambient textures with slow, building cinematic movement, the band has developed a sound that feels both intimate and expansive. This record explores themes of distance, isolation, curiosity, and the quiet beauty of drifting into the unknown.

The first single, “Voyager 1,” is already available on all streaming platforms along with an official music video viewable on the band’s official Youtube channel. The track offers an early glimpse into the tone of the album, balancing a sense of wonder with an underlying feeling of solitude.

Formed in 2017 through a mutual interest in music between brothers and longtime high school friends in the Vegas local music scene, Peaceful Retreat has continued to shape their voice through instrumental storytelling, focusing on atmosphere and emotional pacing rather than traditional song structure. Their music invites listeners to sit with the moment and experience something immersive without distraction.

The band’s debut was self recorded at their home studio. The new album, however, was recorded out in the middle of the desert with GC Records partner in crime and engineer extraordinaire, Def from Naked City Audio.

Set for release in 2026, the album stands as the band’s most focused and fully realized work so far, capturing both the scale of space exploration and the human emotion behind it. Their favorite song to play is called Dissolver, and they are excited to get their music out to as many people as possible.
