Super*user are a band that moves with the momentum of a story that began long before any of them touched an instrument. The three members grew up together in Dearborn MI, sharing cracked sidewalks, basement shows, and a friendship that refused to break even when life pulled them in different directions. Years spent in separate bands and on opposite coasts eventually circled them back to Detroit. Once they reunited, the sound was locked in. Super*user became the room they had been building for years without realizing it. The music feels worn in and restless. It feels urgent. Real. It carries the presence of three people who know each other’s ghosts and still choose to move forward together.
Their debut album “Gutless Wonder” arrives on Friday, March 13th 2026 (313 Day!) with 6 colors to choose from through GC Records from Las Vegas, Nevada and Ideas Are Bulletproof Records from Washington State.
Their writing leans toward the strange static of the internet age where connection and loneliness shift shapes. They pull from older influences and newer sparks in indie, punk, and grunge and bend those threads into something melodic and heavy in all the right places. It is a sound built to be felt as much as heard.
Super*user explores digital life and digital afterlife. They trace the versions of the self that flicker and vanish and the brief shelter found between people who have weathered the same storms.
At the center of the band is the same trio that began this as kids. Three lifelong friends from the 313 making melodic songs that strike the chest before the ear. Every word lands with intent. Every note carries weight. From the heart to the hopper.
