Once Vancouver's pop trio Cub was laid to rest, bassist/vocalist
Lisa Marr relocated to the City of Angels and unleashed Buck.
With the addition of guitarist/vocalist Pepper Berry, Buck began
lighting up the L.A. music scene in early '98 and quickly became
club favorites and critics' darlings.
Over the next few years, Buck contributed to several compilations
and released numerous 7-inch records. With a seemingly ever-changing
drum chair, Buck spent a lot of time on the road touring with
some of their favorite bands, including Dance Hall Crashers,
The Muffs, Mr. T Experience, The Queers and The Groovie Ghoulies.
The group disbanded in October of 2000, playing their last show
at their old stomping grounds: Spaceland in Silverlake, CA.
Lisa Marr now heads up her country/pop outfit The Lisa Marr
Experiment, while Pepper Berry fronts the pop/punk trio Bobot
Adrenaline.
GC's new collector 7-inch consists of the last two remaining
unreleased tracks from the band. Both were produced by Jeff
McDonald of Redd Kross fame and feature Charlotte Caffey from
the Go-Go's on backup vocals. This EP is simply irresistible!
